Forex signal populations: open, cancelled and missing calls

Reconcile a complete fictional inventory without converting unresolved setups or deleted evidence into favourable outcomes.

Source reference, user evidence record and bounded conclusion
Keep the source, observation and conclusion as distinct objects.

Define what one originating setup means

One original instruction can generate several amendments, target announcements and copies. Decide which originating identity defines the population before tallying messages. A copied alert should retain a link to its source family instead of becoming another independent trade. Keep the inventory period and inclusion rule with the count; otherwise a denominator can appear precise while measuring an undefined collection.

A provider can publish analysis that is not an executable instruction. Classify it separately using the original content, not the later price path. If the message lacks a necessary trigger or expiry definition, record that limitation rather than filling the missing fields with hindsight. A useful educational observation does not have to be forced into a win-loss series.

Give every expected original a represented state

Possible states include resolved positive, resolved negative, zero, cancelled, unfilled, open and unresolved. They answer different questions. An unfilled limit has no realised fill result; an open position has not become a closed winner; a missing original does not establish a cancellation. A review should explain the transitions rather than assigning all unknowns the most attractive label.

Deleted evidence is an archive issue, not a known trading outcome. Preserve its expected identifier and the reason the source is unavailable. A complete status inventory can still contain unresolved economics. Conversely, a beautifully calculated set of selected closed trades can be incomplete if omitted originals are not represented.

Name the outcome denominator and amount

Positive among resolved outcomes is one possible named rate. Positive among all expected originals is another. Neither determines profitability without the magnitude and cost of each outcome. If zero is included in resolved, say so; dropping it silently changes the metric. Keep the full expected population available even when a summary uses a narrower subset.

An advertised count does not prove completeness. Reconcile expected original identifiers against source records and periods with no publication. Rate rounding cannot determine exact integer wins when the underlying eligible set is uncertain. A summary should not imply a recovered ledger simply because two numbers can be made to look plausible.

Preserve a decision without filling unknowns

A consumer can conclude that a paid performance proposition lacks sufficient evidence, or that a room is worth examining for education, without inventing losses or success rates. The distinction is between a bounded decision and an unsupported numerical verdict. This publication's invented inventory demonstrates the process but supplies no measured provider denominator.

Export the expected originals, status rules, observation cutoff and unresolved list together. Where a new record resolves a missing case, retain the prior state and correction reason. Reproducibility should explain how the conclusion changed, not erase the earlier uncertainty from an archive.

Completed fictional case

Fictional inventory: twelve originals contain four positive, three negative, one zero, one cancelled, one unfilled and two open cases. Eight are resolved under the stated rule, so positive/resolved is 50%. All twelve remain visible. If the positive cases earn +1 unit each and negatives lose -2, resolved gross contribution is -2 units before costs. The 50% rate cannot establish a positive account result.
